A Healthy Grocery List

Making a grocery list healthy can sometimes be challenging. When you go to the grocery store sometimes we always end up getting a lot more than we intended. The key is making a strict list, plan your meals ahead, and stick to it. These are some of the things I always have on my list when I go to the store.

  1. Chicken.

I always have chicken because even if I run out of dinner ideas, chicken is always my go-to.

2. Eggs.

This is always another go-to for breakfast and a basic necessity I feel like everyone needs in their diet.

3. Bread.

I have avocado or peanut butter toast EVERY morning for breakfast so naturally bread is in my every day meal routine. I always get the honey wheat forty-five calorie kind.

4. Yogurt and Granola.

This is a great snack so I never forget about it. I always get key-lime pie flavored yogurt and when I put the granola in there it tastes just like actual key lime pie.

5. A healthy frozen pizza.

This is a must because I always find myself not wanting to cook or not having time to cook at some point during the week so a healthy frozen pizza is a must and I just love pizza so I never forget it.

6. An assortment of peppers and onions.

If you go to Publix, they have a container of onions and bell peppers already sliced and put together for easy cooking. I love peppers and onions as a side and getting them already cut up makes them so much easier to cook.

7. Healthy Ice-cream.

If I ever have a sweet tooth, I always go for ice cream. So, if I’m going to have a dessert I always want to make sure it is healthy so I don’t feel guilty after.

8. 3-4 healthy snacks.

I talked about my favorite go-to healthy snacks in one of my first blogs and I never switch them up. I try to limit the snacks i get so I am not constantly eating all day every day so most the time I get popcorn, the healthy chocolate chip cookies, granola cups, and pretzels.

I highly recommend having a set list when you go grocery shopping so you don’t stray away from what you need and get unhealthy things.
